Inclusive Storytelling for Primary School Children
Our primary school author visits offer children a warm, engaging and inclusive experience that brings stories to life while supporting emotional wellbeing, behaviour and self-regulation.
Led by author and parent advocate Emma Whitehouse, each visit is built around the children’s book Charlie and the Time-Out Troll , a magical story for children with busy brains and the adults learning to understand them - written from lived experience and designed to help children understand big feelings in a gentle, accessible way.
Each author visit includes an interactive story reading and opportunities for pupils to ask questions about storytelling, characters and becoming an author.
Sessions are carefully adapted to suit EYFS, KS1 or KS2, and can be delivered to whole classes, year groups or smaller targeted groups depending on school needs.
The delivery style is calm, engaging and SEND-aware, ensuring that all children feel included, supported and able to take part.
